Care workers at Kew House Care Home in Wimbledon shared the love this Valentine’s Day by giving out over 70 roses to their residents.
Wooden roses were distributed by the care team to residents at the home to acknowledge how much they mean to them this Valentine’s Day.
Lifestyle leader at Kew House Care Home, Georgina Miller said: “Handing out the roses to the residents created such a warm atmosphere in the home.
“The resident’s feedback upon receiving the roses was really special and it was nice to see their happiness at being given their rose and then sitting with them as they reminisce about previous Valentines Day’s and their loved ones.”
Avnish Goyal, managing director of Hallmark Care Homes said: “The aim of this activity is to make our residents feel special this Valentine’s Day and let them know we are there for them as we care for them and value our relationship with them as our greatest asset.
“Many of the residents haven’t received a rose in years, while others have never received a rose in their lifetime.
“We hope giving them a rose this Valentine’s Day will bring a smile to their face and show them how much we care.”
