Colliers Wood has itself a new dementia-friendly library.

On February 5, Merton Council will open the brand new building on the site of the former Donald Hope Library, something Councillor Nick Draper called an "exciting new development for Colliers Wood."

"Our award winning library service has gone from strength to strength and this is a major chapter in our aim to make our libraries better and better," he said.

"We are thrilled that residents will now benefit from increased space and improved resources from this beautiful new library which is open to all.”

The three-floor building will open on February 5 and will feature wifi, free to use computers study areas and "books for all ages."

Council has also been working with the Alzheimer’s Society to make the library dementia-friendly.
