Merton Police are planning to give over 800 gifts to children over Christmas as part of the Met Christmas Appeal.
The Met Christmas Appeal had over 17,000 presents donated by the public in 2016 helping to provide presents to children who may otherwise not have received one.
Merton Police have so far wrapped a massive 167 gifts and have been asking for donations to be dropped off at Wimbledon Police station.
Gifts sent already include one wrapped by a young child which contained his or her pocket money.
Merton police said: “People can sign up on the met’s website although our allocation is full and then drop off the gifts with us at the police stations.
"We then give them to the council for all the children in social/foster care with us doing 804 gifts.”
