Hungry birds hoping to feed on seeds were given the fright of their lives at Whelan Farm recently, when a Brit Awards-inspired Lady Gaga scarecrow took to the field to frighten them off.
The outrageous singer’s extravagant awards outfit inspired staff at the Warlingham farm to knock up a replica to keep the birds off the wheat crop.
The 7ft pop-monster, which reputedly cost £1,000 to make, has had a huge impact since she was set up, with not a single bird in sight in photographs captured for the Croydon Guardian.
