A man is in a 'critical' condition after he was involved in a serious car crash in Balham High Road this evening.
Police were called to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian shortly after 6.30pm tonight (May 22).
He was rushed to a south London hospital by the London Ambulance Service where he remains in a critical condition, according to a Met Police spokesman.
The driver has not been arrested while enquiries are ongoing.

He added that the road is currently closed between Ritherdon Road and Tooting Bec underground train station, at the corner of Trinity Road and Tooting Bec Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid #Balham High Road between Ritherdon Road and #Tooting Bec Underground Station as emergency services are at the scene of a collision. Road closures are in place.
