The Grand, Clapham, is hosting a 90s versus 00s inspired Double Denim Party in aid for Genes for Jeans Day this Saturday (September 22).

With a special guest performance from Irish popstars B*witched, whose live performances will include ‘C’est La Vie’ and ‘Blame It on the Weather Man’.

There will also be a competition for the best double denim outfits, raffle prizes, a denim-themed photo booth and a guest DJ playing old school party classics.

Ticket sales and profits from the night will go to annual fundraising campaign Jeans for Genes, which raises money for children who are affected by life-altering genetic disorders.

It is said that one in 25 children are affected by a genetic disorder, which approximately involves 30,000 babies and children who are diagnosed in the United Kingdom every year.

The Jeans for Genes campaign encourages people to sign-up, wear a pair of jeans and donate a small amount on Jeans for Genes Day after they receive a free fundraising pack.

Celebrities who have publicly supported the campaign include The Saturdays singer Mollie King and Channel 4’s Countdown presenter Rachel Riley.
