Transport for London has launched a consultation on proposed changes to Tooting Bec Road.
The proposals, which form part of the Mayor of London’s plan to encourage Londoners to walk and cycle more, include segregated cycle lanes in both directions between Dr Johnson Avenue and Aldrington Road.
Cyclists would be separated from motor vehicles by plastic wands.
Along with this, the proposals include wider footways, a dropped kerb, and a new toucan crossing.
