Police helicopters and cars were involved in a chase through the streets of Wandsworth last night.
Officers were searching for a suspect driving through SW18 in the early hours of the morning.
Residents took to social media to try to find out what was going on.
Adam Callinan wrote: “Four police cars just flew past and a helicopter above my house in Tooting. Anyone know what’s going on?”
Karun Comar asked: “What’s happening in Tooting/Earlsfield? Several police cars have just gone past and a helicopter flying above!”

Former Wandsworth Guardian reporter Rebecca Taylor replied to Wandsworth Police’s tweet announcing officers were searching for a suspect: “This is the police helicopter I can hear then! Good luck team!”
And Luqman Omar added: “Mad ting going on in Tooting. Helicopters flying around.”
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "On Sunday, 11 June officers in an unmarked police vehicle signalled to a van to stop in Hackbridge Road.
"The van made off and officers lost sight of the vehicle.
"At 11.42pm the van was seen again in Tooting Bec Road by a marked police vehicle, the driver did not stop and pursuit commenced.
"The van stopped in St John's Drive and the driver, believed to be a male, abandoned the vehicle and made off on foot."
No arrests have been made and enquires continue.
