A 32-year-old was stabbed in the stomach and the leg during a violent robbery in Mitcham.
The man was in Rowan Road at around 1.30am yesterday when he was attacked outside the Fairlight Pharmacy.
Three black men, all in their 20s and wearing dark clothing, approached the victim demanding he hand over money and his wallet.
The victim shouted for help and was punched and kicked to the ground.
He then gave one of the men his dark brown leather wallet containing £5, a French ID card, a Barclays Bank debit card and his Burton store card.
But he was kicked again, this time in the head, injuring his right eye.
He was then stabbed in the stomach and right leg with a small knife with a four ins blade and a black handle.
The robbers then took his Nokia mobile phone and escaped towards Streatham Vale along Greyhound Lane in a dark coloured vehicle - believed to be a green Toyota Lucia with an R registration plate.
The victim was taken to St George's Hospital, Tooting. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Anyone with information about the incident should call Merton police's Detective Constable Kevin Allison on 020 8649 3048 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
