A father and his two sons have been sentenced at Guildford Crown Court after a police raid uncovered £300,000 worth of cocaine and firearms at their family home.

Michael Stacey, 64, and his sons James, 20, and Richard, 21, all of Arundal Avenue in Epsom, appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Friday (June 3).

Michael Stacey was sentenced to eight years in prison, James Stacey to four and Richard Stacey was given a 10-month sentence in time already served.

Surrey police raided the family home on November 25 last year discovering three unlicensed guns with ammunition and two stun guns stashed in a wheelie bin.

Two kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of £280,000 and a third of a kilo of cannabis resin was also seized along with scales, bags and a six foot hydraulic press believed to be used for pressing cocaine.

Michael Stacey pleaded guilty at a court hearing on May 6 to the supply of class A drugs and being in possession of illegal firearms.

James Stacey pleaded guilty to assisting an offender and being in possession of illegal firearms while Richard Stacey pleaded guilty to assisting an offender.

An investigation into how much money or goods they obtained through illegal means is under way.

Detective sergeant, Dan Voller said: “I am pleased with the sentences handed out which reflect the gravity of what these men were involved in. “Drugs destroy our communities and these men were involved in organised supply.

“They clearly had no regard for the damage the substances would do, only the money they could make.”
