Lambeth residents warned about danger of grass fires

Grass fires are a risk during the hot weather, Lambeth residents have been warned.

The London Fire Brigade is urging residents to do everything they can to prevent grass fires.

Officers say the fire can be caused by not extinguishing campfires or barbecues properly, bottles and glasses magnifying the sun and not putting out smoking materials properly.

Childen should also be informed of the dangers of starting fires, they said.
