Putney martial artist throws down for TV show

Marvin Eghan, a physiotherapist from Putney, has progressed to the final eight contestants taking part in Fighting Hurts, a new TV show that throws novice fighters into the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Having previously endured a rigorous selection process, master-classes with MMA fighters and workouts from fitness experts, Marvin then had to overcome an intense military style boot-camp in his attempt to become the 2008 Fighting Hurts Champion.
Despite having over ten years boxing experience coupled to training in Muay Thai, kick-boxing and wrestling, Marvin is starting to find his powers of endurance severely tested after three continuous weeks of training in MMA.
The winner takes home a one-year professional contract with Cage Rage.
