Student enterpreneurs had the chance to visit Buckingham Palace as part of a Dragon's Den style competition.

Pupils of Coloma Convent Girls’ School were at the royal palace on March 10, and were pipped to top spot in the Tycoon in Schools competition.

The Coloma team, made up of 10 GCSE level girls created the company Fusion Jewellery producing handmade accessories for teenagers.

It earned them a runners-up spot in the national competition.

Chinemelum Anyamene, 15, said: "We are proud of our efforts and really pleased that they were recognised by Peter Jones.

"We learnt that the key to success of any business is teamwork and good communication skills."
