Stuck in the stocks as pies went splat and smoosh, some unlucky people managed to keep smiling(ish) as the money mounted up on Red Nose Day.
Each of them had been nominated to take their place in the stocks at Surrey StrEatery, Surrey Street, Croydon, by their friends, family or employees.
These ‘loving’ people had paid £5 to watch them be splatted with custard pies while visitors to the premises who had just stopped by for their breakfast or lunch looked on.
All the money raised by the splatting went to Comic Relief.
