A woman needed hospital treatment after being injured in a crash in Thornton Heath last night.
Emergency services were called to Brigstock Road near Tesco at about 8pm after two cars collided.
At first it was thought the patient, who is believed to be in her early 30s, may have had neck and back pain so firefighters were on standby to cut her out of the vehicle.
But she was only complaining of leg pains so the crews rolled the other car out of the way and London Ambulance Service staff took her to hospital.
Her injuries are not thought to be serious.
The other people in the vehicles managed to get themselves out of their cars and did not need medical treatment.
