Post-Christmas festivities went to pot last night for one household who ended up in hospital after eating hash brownies.
London Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews and a hazardous area response team to the address in Purley after receiving reports of eight people feeling unwell.
After the patients were assessed LAS tactical advisor Chris Hawkswell tweeted: “Turns out they are a little spaced out and feeling the effects of eating hash brownies.”
Five of the people were taken to hospital for observation.
Police officers were also called. It is not yet known if any arrests were made.
