A 23-year-old accused of murdering a young rapper stabbed to death outside a nightclub is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.
Jeffrey Okafor, of no fixed address, appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court today, November 7, charged with the murder of Carl Beatson Asiedu.
He has been remanded in custody until his court appearance on Monday.
Mr Asiedu, who was from Norbury, was killed after being stabbed in the heart outside Club Life in Vauxhall on August 1, 2009.
The 19-year-old, who went by the stage name Charmz, had been performing at the club the night he died.
His body was found in the back of a friend's car, who was stopped jumping a red light while rushing the young rapper to hospital.
Mr Asiedu was a former student at Selhurst High School for Boys and St Francis Xavier College in Clapham.
He was also an actor and had appeared in CBBC show MI High.
