The Bank Holiday weekend was marred by another eruption of violent disorder as a mass street brawl broke out in Sutton town centre.
Police response teams were called to end a fight among a group of 10 men near the Love 2 Love nightclub early on Sunday.
Officers arrested a man aged 23 for grievous bodily harm and six others for affray as the night of revelry ended in misery.

All the men have since been released on police bail.
The disturbance is the latest high-profile crime to undermine security measures intended to make the high street a "more welcoming and safe" place.
Last month a man thrown out of Love 2 Love became the first person to have a Taser stun gun used on him by Sutton police.
Over the Christmas period a doorman was left with stab wounds to his arm after being attacked outside Chicago's nightclub.
Police were made aware of the 10-man brawl only after a CCTV operator raised the alarm at about 3.20am.
Evidence was gathered from the borough control room while the men involved were questioned at Sutton police station.
Detective Constable Darren Taheny, of Sutton CID, said officers on the ground had been given important updates as the fight moved towards the town centre.
"If it had not been for the operator in the CCTV control room acting quickly, then police may not have been able to secure the arrests as quickly as we did," he said.
Anyone with any information is asked to call D Con Taheny at Sutton police station on 020 8649 0735.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

So another disgraceful act of violence in Sutton high street.
Couple this with the disgusting knife attack on the man in the previous story and we can see that Sutton high street is fast becoming a no-go zone at night for normal families.
Yet we are told by this wooly Lib Dem administration that crime is not really a problem.
That is patently not the case.
Hope fully Boris will now bypass this administration and talk to us in the opposition so we can rally make a difference to Sutton in both the area of crime and anti social behaviour.
The Dinosaurs are on their way out and hopefully a better era for Sutton is dawning.
