The borough's new youth bus "Urbie" will be pulling up in the town centre on Saturday to hand out goodie bags and information to young people.
The day, organised by the council's youth service, will allow youth workers to speak to young people directly about what the council can offer them.
Urbie (which stands for the Urban Bus Information Education) has laptop points, a TVs and DVD players. The bus was imagined by local young people who submitted a bid to the Youth Opportunity Fund to pay for it.
Youth FM will be broadcast from the bus and members of Youth Parliament will also be hand to encourage others to get involved.
"The Urbie will allow us to reach out to young people who we weren't previously able to engage before. It really shows we are listening to young people and responding to what they tell us they want from their youth service," said strategic director of learning Ian Birnbaum.
The bus will be in the High Street from 11am to 4pm.
