An assortment of meats worth about £100 was stolen from the back of a van in Staines last week.
A 51-year-old woman was driving to Market Square at 12.10pm last Thursday to deliver the meat, when a passenger from a nearby vehicle was seen removing the produce from her white Vauxhall van.
Two witnesses told the victim they had seen someone from a yellow Renault Megane step out of the car and remove an assortment of meats while she was in Clarence Street, waiting to turn right into Market Square.
Detective Constable Berenice Moore said: "I would urge the two people who witnessed this incident to contact the police immediately as they could provide evidence which might prove vital in tracking the offenders down.
"This was a cynical and planned theft where an innocent victim who was just trying to do her job has been targeted.
"Given the time of day and the distinctive colour of the vehicle used by the suspects I'm convinced someone must know who and where these cowardly offenders are and they need to pass that information on to us."
