The Met Office has issued a weather warning for strong wind over the weekend and there is the possibility of snow.

The yellow weather warning in place from 4am to 7pm on Sunday comes as Storm Caroline continues to affect the country.

The warning for London says: "A spell of strong winds is expected to move east across the far south of England and Wales on Sunday morning.

"Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible, as well as some delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges."

Meanwhile, the Met Office regional weather forecast for London and the south east says it is going to be very cold for the next couple of days.

Snow showers "can't be completely ruled out" on Saturday while Sunday onwards there will be rain and the "risk of further snow".

A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Generally it will feel cold, with widespread overnight frosts and some icy patches.”
