A Twickenham artist has been selected from over 4,000 entries for a major international art competition.
Orsi Cowell-Lehoczky, who was born in Hungary but has live in Twickenham since 2010, is among 96 artists whose work was chosen for the 2018 Columbia Threadneedle Prize: Figurative
Art Today exhibition.
The exhibition is at the Mall Galleries from January 31 to February 17 next year and the winner, announced on January 30, will receive £20,000 while the Visitor's Choice Award is worth an additional £10,000.
Orsi's work 'Juggling Queen' is an acrylic and oil on canvas painting is a reinterpretation of the tableau paintings where the rich and famous are arranged in a posed way, pretending to be unobserved.
