A BBC nature expert will inspire Richmond residents to reconnect with their natural world this Saturday evening.

David Lindo, also known as The Urban Birder, is a regular face on BBC’s Spring Watch programme and will be sharing his stories at Duke Street Church on October 14 at 7:30pm.

He says: “You don’t have to wear green anoraks; you can look cool and fashionable, and I find the birds prefer it too.

“All we have to do is open our eyes, ears, hearts and minds and soon we will be linked into the nature around us.”

David’s books (The Urban Birder, Tales from Concrete Jungles: Urban Birding Around the World, The Urban Birder's City Guide) will be on sale and he will also be doing signings.

He has also featured on the BBC’s One Show, Radio 4’s Open Country, ITV and Channel 4 and is currently a judge on the Observer’s Ethical Awards.
