Prepare to get your skates on as Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink returns for another year.

Families and people of all ages will be able to ice-skate at Henry VIII’s former home while taking in the stunning Tudor backdrop and picturesque riverside setting.

Tickets are now on sale for the newly-extended open air rink, now at its largest ever at 1040m2.

A spokesperson said: “Perfect for all ages and skating levels, from absolute beginners to experts, the spacious Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink is located directly in front of the Tudor palace and boasts spectacular Thames-side views sure to create a memorable day.

“Then, when the sun goes down and the palace’s iconic facade lights up, the drama and romance factor goes off the scale.

“A huge twinkling Christmas tree creates a magical backdrop and new festive food and drink pop-ups - featuring a special kids’ menu - will serve up something for everyone.”

Skaters can secure their ideal date and time with advanced booking for morning, daytime and evening sessions.

The rink’s skating season runs from November 24 to January 7, open all day, every day, except Christmas Day.

Sessions are 9am and 10am, 11am to 7pm and 8pm and 9pm.

Tickets cost £14 for adults, £12 for teenagers aged 13 to 15 years, OAPs, students and concessions, £10 for children aged 3-12 years and family tickets (3+1 or 2+2) are £40.
