South Thames College has been awarded with a good rating from Ofsted, marking it as one of the top colleges in London.

The college, which has campuses in Wandsworth and Merton, was commended by inspectors for its quality of teaching.

Ofsted inspectors also noted the leadership and management at the college, with safety and governance of learners judged as outstanding.

Principal, Sue Rimmer OBE, said: "We are delighted with the outcome. We know we are a good college. We work tremendously hard to keep standards high and to have this formally validated by Ofsted for the second time is a real achievement.

"It is our ongoing commitment to quality and the high expectations we have of both our staff and students that continues to make us one of London’s most successful colleges."

The report also praised the college for it's relationship with employers and community organisations, with courses reflecting local needs.
