I have a child the same age and know it must be so scary. Hope he's found safe and whatever made him run off is dealt with so he feels ok. Also, was he from Carshalton or Mitcham?"

Missing boy found safe and well


A ten-year-old boy from Carshalton ran away from his mum this morning in Mill Green, Mitcham.

The Metropolitan Police helicopter was searching the Carshalton area this morning after the boy disappeared at 9.51am this morning.

Officers on mobile and foot are looking for the youngster assisted by the police helicopter.

The boy is described as white, 4ft 9in tall with messy, mousey hair.

He is wearing a large baggy, black T-shirt, black and yellow Chelsea football shorts and black trainers. He has a green and yellow Ben 10 scooter.

The boy, who may be averse to strangers, made off whilst being walked by his mum to a local toddler group.
