A team of adventurers aiming to circle the globe in fire engine have taken their trusty truck into the heart of the Far East The team - who are making the nine-month, world-record setting voyage to raise cash for charity - are currently crossing China.

In the latest leg of their journey they have seen the Yangtze River and rubbed shoulders with the Terracotta Warriors.

But their trusty fire engine Martha ran into trouble in the narrow streets of the 4,000-year-old city of Pingyao. The crew needed to haul it free with ropes after it got stuck in an alleyway two weeks ago.

The expedition began in July. It is headed by Wimbledon banker Steve Moore, in memory of his father Garth Moore - a fireman who died of lung cancer last year.
