Drinkers have offered a cheeky farewell to a Wimbledon pub that closed down earlier this month.
A regular is thought to have made a final tribute to the Emma Hamilton, in Wimbledon Chase, which called last orders on August 16.
Last week the message “It’s been emotional” was spraypainted over the door of the boarded up pub.
It has been sold by previous owners Punch Taverns, but the chain would not reveal the identity of the buyer.
The Kingston Road pub, which first opened in 1962, is named after the notorious mistress of Lord Nelson.
