Den building and dance workshops will be on offer in a fun-packed day of activities for children next week.
The free playday at the Acacia Intergenerational Centre in Mitcham will feature games and attractions for under 13s including a giant inland beach and travelling farm – as well as a special play area for under-fives.
The event will run from 12pm to 4pm on Wednesday and is part of National Playday, an initiative to provide better spaces for children to play.
Councillor Maxi Martin, Merton Council’s cabinet member for children’s services, said: “Playtime is essential for children’s development and learning while also ensuring they have fun. I look forward to seeing lots of happy faces at the intergenerational centre on playday.”
