A two-day strike by council workers will shut a New Malden school.
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic School in Burlington Road will be shut as a result of Unison and Unite's two-day strike which takes place today and tomorrow.
Merton Council also expects that strike action will severely disrupt council tax enquiries both today and tomorrow.
Rubbish collections and street cleaning will also be hit by the action with no bulky or green waste collections today or tomorrow.
The council is advising residents who are expecting a collection tomorrow to put out their household rubbish and recycling by 6am.
Any extra collection will take place on Saturday for Merton residents whose rubbish is missed on Wednesday or Thursday.
Anyone whose waste is not collected by the weekend should call the council on Monday on 020 8274 4902.
