A new Thai restaurant will open up in Wimbledon Village this summer.

The new 80-seat restaurant will be the seventh branch of Patara Thai in London and promises to provide "authentically different fine Thai dining."

It is moving into the former Aubaine restaurant's premises on Wimbledon High Street, and will open in June.

There will be a lunch "Yum" bar with an extensive salad menu, as well as an a la carte menu for evening diners.

The opening comes just in time for summer, as diners will be able to make use of the outdoor terrace for drinks.

Patara Thai says their menus feature classic Thai recipes with a twist. They opened their first restaurant in Fulham Road over 26 years ago.

Patara Wimbledon will be open from 11am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday.
