Two men were stabbed and five people arrested at an address in Morden last night.

One of the men who received multiple stab wounds was wanted for assault.

Police were called to a property in Bayham Road at around 11.40pm on Sunday January 15 to reports of an altercation.

Police and London Ambulance the scene and found a 21-year-old suffering from stab injuries.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “He was taken to a south-London hospital where he remains in a stable condition with injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

“He was arrested on suspicion of affray following treatment and was also wanted for common assault, breach of court order, and failing to appear at court.”

Another man, 20, was also taken to a south London hospital suffering stab wounds but has since been discharged.

He was arrested on suspicion of affray, failing to appear at court, breach of court order and shoplifting and remains in custody at a south-London police station.

Three other people were also arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray including a 24-year-old man, 20-year-old woman and 17-year-old man.

They remain in custody at south London police stations.

A crime scene remains in place in Bayham Road.
