A driver with epilepsy who killed a man after mounting the pavement and trapping him, ignored numerous health warnings from medical professionals, a court heard.
Stuart Lusher, 56, from Benhill Wood Rooad in Sutton, was jailed for three and a half years for causing the death of Phil Westnott in Merton last June, through dangerous driving.
Lusher was driving a Mazda SUV on June 27 last year on Merantun Way in Merton.

He suffered an epileptic seizure after stopping at a red traffic light at approximately 1.40pm.
The seizure caused him to drive onto the pavement and crash into Mr Westnott, who was struck from behind.
Mr Westnott, who was 48, was trapped by the car and maintained a fatal head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At Kingston Crown Court on July 20, Lusher admitted death by dangerous driving, and the court was told he had a history of epilepsy and sleep apnoea.
Lusher had ignored warnings from doctors telling him not to drive.
On the day of Mr Westnott's death, Lusher had been driving to hospital to visit his wife.
Detective Sergeant Jeff Edwards, of the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I must firstly pay tribute to family of Mr Westnott for their dignity and courage during this difficult investigation.
"Mr Lusher's decision to drive, despite warnings from medical staff, resulted in a terrible collision that cost an innocent man his life.
"The consequences of that day have resulted in an innocent man losing a life and now Mr Lusher losing his liberty."
Lusher was sentenced to three and a half years behind bars and also banned from driving for life.
