Police have charged a sixth man with the murder of Neel Croos, who died after a mass brawl in a carpark in Holborn Way, Mitcham.

Jerome Anton Jeyakumar, 23, of Framfield Road, Mitcham, was charged today with murder and violent disorder.

He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Thursday, February 11.

Police have also revealed that a 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. He has been bailed until April.

Mr Croos, 26, suffered serious head injuries in the fight in Sibthorpe car park on November 23, which is believed to have involved axes, swords and machetes.

He died in hospital on November 25.

Another 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old were also hospitalised following the fight.

Five other men have been charged with Mr Croos’ murder.

Student Aranventhan Puventhiran, 21, of Stoneleigh Avenue, Worcester Park, was charged on December 9 with murder, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article.

Prashad Sothilingam, 25, unemployed, of Edgehill Road, Mitcham, appeared in custody at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, December 2, charged with murder.

He was also charged with trying to murder 29-year-old Jeyathpan Ganesalingham on the same day, plus violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Sivakaran Ockersz, 18, unemployed, of Heathdene Road, Wallington, was charged with murder on December 17. He was also charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. Mr Ockersz appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on December 18.

Gowrishanth Loganathan, 21, of Cambridge Road, Mitcham, was charged with murder and violent disorder on December 18.

Mohanran Parimalanathan, 22, of Stafford Road, Wallington, was charged with murder, possession of offensive weapon and violent disorder on December 18.

Mr Puventhiran, Mr Sothilingham, Mr Loganathan and Mr Parimalanathan will all appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, February 17. A trial is scheduled to take place at the central London court on May 23.

Five other men, aged between 27 and 34, who were arrested in connection with the murder and armed brawl, have been released with no further action.
