Lanterns, fingerprint blossom tree pictures and dragon puppets were made by children at a nursery celebrating Chinese New Year.

Youngsters at the Busy Bees Nursery in Morden enjoyed making lanterns, Chinese dragon puppets and played with special sparkly playdough yesterday.

Youngsters coloured in monkey masks and had a Chinese themed lunch to mark 2016 as the year of the monkey.

There are thousands of events planned across London with the first Magical Lantern Festival in Chiswick Gardens, and the Chinese New Year Family day.

The nursery hold a number of events throughout the year, including a pre-school leavers party, garden fun, pumpkin carving, Christmas fairs and fun in the snow.

The nursery takes children from the ages of three to five years.
