Staff and visitors to Wimbledon Magistrates' Court may have had a surprise this morning, as high winds appear to have toppled a tree at the entrance to the building.
Parts of the entrance to the court in Alexandra Road have been taped off, but the building still appears to be open as usual.
Another toppled tree has caused traffic chaos in Mitcham, closing Carisbrooke Road for several hours from 7am this morning after the tree fell at Hertford Way.
Bus routes 152 and 225 were subject to diversion and delays in both directions due to the road closure, but Transport for London tweeted after 9am to say the tree had been cleared.
Routes 152 and 225 returned to normal route at Carisbrooke Road, Mitcham. CLEARED
