Crime scene: Police in Mitcham on Tuesday
A 25-year-old Mitcham man has appeared in court charged with murder and attempted murder after an axe fight in the town centre last week.
Prashad Sothilingham, of Edghill Road, Mitcham, was charged on Saturday with the murder of Neel Croos, also known as Adhavan Thanabalafingham.
Mr Sothilingham is also charged with the attempted murder of 29-year-old Jeyathpan Ganesalingham, as well as possession of an axe and threatening unlawful violence.
Mr Sothilingham appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday, November 30, wearing a grey jumper, and spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth and did not enter a plea.
He will appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, December 2.
