Paddington Bear was at Centre Court shopping centre in Wimbledon to kick off the annual fortnight of fun for local kids.
From deepest, darkest Peru to SW19, the bear had kids roaring with laughter in a day of free activities, including a Paddington Bear story time, games and a chance to get a snap with the children (and adult) character favourite.
Suzy Wood, Centre Court manager said: "It was a fantastic day. We always knew Paddington Bear would be popular, but it was incredible.
"It was great to be able to bring Paddington to Wimbledon and fantastic to see how many children turned out to meet him."
Paddington's visit on Saturday, August 12 was the first in a series of events which comes to a close today.
The kid’s summer club will run until today with plenty more activities on offer. There will be Punch and Judy shows today and free face painting available throughout the day.
