Two teenagers have been arrested after a 16-year-old man was stabbed in Mitcham town centre yesterday afternoon.

London Ambulance was called to Majestic Way just after 4pm and took the injured man to a south west London hospital.

He was reported to be in a stable condition this morning.

Police taped off an area near Poundland and were seen patrolling the area last night.

Two teenagers, both 16, have since been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They have been taken to a south London police station.
