Volunteers are needed for an action day at an area once dubbed dog poo alley.
Tasks include sowing seeds for a wild meadow area, re-turfing and maintenance at the community orchard in Mitcham.
Since March, volunteers have been digging deep to convert 1,500 square metres of waste ground in Field Gate Lane, Mitcham, into a leisure garden with about 100 fruit trees and bushes.
The action day will take place on Saturday, May 30 from 12pm to 4pm. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided.
