A 42-year-old man has appeared in court on suspicion of stealing nearly £2,000 worth of jewellery and electronic items in a spate of burglaries around Mitcham.
Sean McSweeney, of High Path, south Wimbledon, is accused of three burglaries in February and March - in Lavender Avenue, Glebe Avenue and Edmund Road.
In Glebe Avenue, he allegedly stole nearly £2,000 worth of jewellery and electronic equipment on February 15.
At the other two properties he is accused of entering as a trespasser with intent to steal.
He has not yet pleaded to three charges of burglary.
Appearing in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Friday, he was remanded in custody, to return to Kingston Crown Court on Thursday, May 28.
