Do you know an outstanding young person who deserves recognition for going the extra mile?

A photographic project called Merton Young Faces is looking for young people who stand out through either sport, music, drama or the voluntary sector.

The project is being organised by Wimbledon BookFest and the Wimbledon Foundation, the charitable arm of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), with an exhibition due to be displayed at the festival in October and at the AELTC.

It is to tie in with Merton’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

BookFest director Fiona Razvi said: "We’re looking for young people who are both making a difference and reflect the vibrancy of our borough.

"We want to hear about what makes them stand out. It could be through music or sport, campaigning or volunteering or having an usual hobby such as circus skills or bee keeping!"

Nominations must be received by Thursday, April 30 and the nominee must live in Merton and be currently aged 15 to 18 years-old.

To nominate a young person, state why you think they should be nominated in an email by Thursday, April 30 to Ms Razvi at fiona.razvi@wimbledonbookfest.org.
