A kind and caring pharmacy worker Rosemary Hau has been nominated for the business award at the Merton Civic Awards.

Mrs Hau has a caring and respectful attitude towards customers at Haria Pharmacy, in Raynes Park, and her customers thoroughly appreciate the time and attention she gives them.

Mrs Hau is more than happy to help with each health ailment, showing care and concern for each customer who walks through the doors.

As a family-run business approaching its 40th anniversary, the Haria Pharmacy in Coombe Lane has a number of familiar customers who they welcome through the doors on a regular basis.

And with local people at the heart of the business it is very important that they be treated as equals, and not nameless faces.

Mrs Hau certainly does this; her attention to detail allows her customers to feel genuinely cared for.

When asked how she felt about being nominated for the Merton Civic Awards she said she was shocked and flattered by the nomination.

Mother-of-two Mrs Hau said she has worked there as part of a small team for six years and originally wanted a part-time job to occupy her time after her children went to school, but six years on she is now working there full time.

Mrs Hau, 58, said: "I’m very honoured to be nominated but it’s my job to help people and I am very happy to do it."

There is still time to nominate someone special. Vote at http://www.wimbledonguardian.co.uk/mertoncivicawards/ or fill out a form in the newspaper.
