A lucky shopper beat more than 1,000 hopefuls to scoop a £1,000 diamond ring in a competition.
Katie Tilley has concluded it pays to go to the gym after finding the winning jewellery box at Nuffield Health and Fitness Centre in Wimbledon.
She was delighted to win the first prize of a pure brilliance Canadian ice diamond ring in a Valentine’s Day competition run by the team at Centre Court Shopping Centre.
Mrs Tilley, picked up her prize yesterday from Goldsmiths in Centre Court, Wimbledon.
She said: "We didn’t believe it at first but checked Centre Court’s Facebook page and there it was in black and white - my name, it was all very exciting! See it does pay to go to the gym!"
About 1,095 people entered the second annual competition.
