The first ever theatrical production to be filmed entirely in candlelight will be broadcast in Wimbledon next month.
The Duchess of Malfi screening marks the opening of Shakespeare’s Globe on Screen’s fifth year of sell-out performances and captivating theatre from the London home of Shakespeare and will be broadcast to cinemas across the UK.

The film will be shown at Wimbledon’s Odeon cinema on Monday, March 9, with other screenings across the country from Thursday, February 26.
It is the first ever theatrical production to be filmed entirely by candlelight from the first season in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.
Directed by Dominic Dromgoole it stars Gemma Arterton as the Duchess, with Sean Gilder as Bosola, David Dawson as Ferdinand, James Garnon as the Cardinal, Denise Gough as Julia and Alex Waldmann as Antonio.
