Merton's bobbies are hosting a community engagement meetings in every ward today as part of the Met's Community Action Day.

Lavender Fields Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will be at Asda in Bond Road from 10am to 2pm.

Cannon Hill SNT will be in Martin Way from 7pm to 8pm. 

Figges Marsh SNT will be at the Warden's Office, Chart House in Sadlers Close from 10am to 2pm.

Cricket Green SNT will be at Glebe Court from 1pm to 3pm and South Mitcham Community Centre in Haslemere Avenue from 4pm to 5pm.

Colliers Wood SNT will be outside Colliers Wood tube station from 9am to 1pm. 

Dundonald SNT will be at Raynes Park Library in Approach Road from 1pm to 3pm. 

Longthornton SNT will be at Lidl in Rowan Road from 9am to 11am and at the New Horizon Centre in South Lodge Avenue from 12pm to 2pm.

Lower Morden SNT will be at the Lower Morden Garden Centre from 4pm to 5pm.

Pollards Hill SNT will be at the New Horizon Centre in South Lodge Avenue from 12pm to 2pm. 

Ravensbury SNT will be at Morden Hall Park from 10am to 1pm.

Raynes Park SNT will be at Costa coffee from 11.30am to 12.30pm and from 5pm to 6pm. 

St Helier SNT will be at South Thames College from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and at the Bhaitul Futuh Mosque in London Road from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. 

Wimbledon Village SNT will be at the Windmill Cafe in Windmill Road from 11.30am to 2pm. 

The Community Action Day is a London-wide police initiative to improve relationships with communities.

Commander Mak Chishty, the Met's spokesman for community engagement, said: "We appreciate that there are no short-term fixes to tackle crime and are committed to working with our communities and partners to identify long-term solutions.

"This isn't something that the police can do alone, but together we can make a real difference."
