A 41-year-old man charged with possessing two kitchen knives in a Wimbledon church has been released on bail.
Andrew Spencer, a Wimbledon YMCA resident, was arrested on suspicion of possessing the knives at Holy Trinity Church in the Broadway on Tuesday.
He was also charged with causing £300 worth of damage to a church door and stealing a microphone.
Appearing in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to damaging the door.
He has yet to enter pleas for the other offences.
Spencer was remanded on bail, to return to Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 19.
