This nine and a half inch knife was seized from a teenager after a fight outside a fast food shop last night.
Staff at Dallas Chicken and Ribs opposite South Wimbledon underground station looked on as a fight broke out just before midnight last night.
An employee at the venue in Merton High Street said a fight broke out in the shop before moving outside onto the street.
Police were called at about 11.55pm to reports two people had assaulted a 32-year-old man.
Officers attended shortly afterwards and two boys, aged 16 and 17 years-old, were stopped and arrested nearby on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
Police also seized a knife and the 16-year-old boy was further arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
Both suspects currently remain in police custody at a south London police station and officers from Merton CID are investigating.
It comes just days after a 15-year-old boy was left fighting for his life after being stabbed near the Rose Hill roundabout in Sutton.
Police are not linking the two incidents.
Enquiries continue.
