Two Indian restaurants are celebrating after winning prestigious national food awards at a glitzy ceremony.
K2 Indian takeaway in Durnsford Road and Khanage in The Broadway, Wimbledon, scooped accolades in the English Curry Awards.
Staff at K2 were delighted to pick up the Takeaway of the Year award at the glitzy fourth annual ceremony held near Manchester, with Khanage being awarded New Restaurant of the Year.
It opened in August to run alongside its sister restaurant of the same name in London Road, Morden.
K2 manager Saleh Jilani said: “We are extremely proud to win this title for the second year running.
“K2 has been recognised for its commitment to excellent food and high standard of service.
“London is one of the most competitive cities in the world for Indian food, which makes this recognition even more special.
“Our thanks to our customers for their continued support and nominations.”
The awards were held on Monday, October 13.
