A delicious blueberry and lemon cheesecake was crowned the winner of a cake competition at an autumn festival.

Children made bird boxes and there were stalls and refreshments at the Deen City Farm Harvest Festival on Sunday.

Hundreds of people attended throughout the day for the launch of the farm’s partnership with Sainsbury’s in Morden.

For the first time the event hosted a cake competition, judged by deputy mayor of Merton, Councillor Laxmi Attawar, and event organiser Cressida Knapp.

Simon Lynn, operations manager at Deen City Farm said: "It was really good.

"We had people selling jam, animals on show and bird box making.

"Our apprentice Rachell Blair won the cake competition."

The festival was held at the farm in Windsor Avenue, Wimbledon, on Sunday, September 28.
